New Services to Barcelona from Edinburgh Airport
2010-04-24 20:09:55 The Spanish airline Vueling has announced that it will run services between Edinburgh Airport and Barcelona in Spain this summer. The service will run from June 24 to September 12, with services on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
Vueling already operates services from Heathrow to Bilbao, La Coruna and long haul flights to Brazil.
Alex Cruz, chief executive officer of Vueling, said: "Barcelona and Edinburgh have strong links and we are confident our flights will be appreciated by business people and leisure travellers alike."
The airline is the second to commence new services between Edinburgh .Starting May 21st and operating throughout the summer, the Spanish Airline Spanair will be running five flights a week from the Scottish Capital to Barcelona. Edinburgh Airport had been without a connection to the city since Flyglobespan collapsed at the end of 2009.
